Our mission

Our dream are economically independent congregations and parishes,
where the laity are not just "consumers of religious services",
but actively contribute to the cause.

 

 

Idea

The Teo Via Endowment Fund was created out of the need to help clergy in their ministry, which today consists of property management and administration rather than accompanying people from first inhale to last exhale.

Clerics simply do not have time for pastoral care and evangelism. It is to this pressing problem that we are looking for a solution. It is to be found, we believe, in the awakening of the life of the Church at the grassroots level - in local churches and parishes.

We believe that the key to a serving and evangelizing Church is the involvement of the laity in all activities, pastoral and economic.

We do not see property and money as a value in itself,
but as a means of carrying out the fundamental mission of the Church,
which is the proclamation of the Gospel.

 

 

Our goals

The Church exists in order to evangelize (Apostolic Exhortation of Paul VI, EVANGELII NUNTIANDI, Article 14).

We want to contribute to this mission in a synodal spirit, so that every voice can be heard and everyone can find their place.
In line with the mission of the Teo Via Endowment Fund, we seek to do this primarily in the following ways:

    1. Finding and developing projects as examples of good practice

    We consider the Salvátor Elementary School in Valašské Meziříčí to be a model example in the field of education. We supported this project with a donation through the registered association "Chance for our Children" (Šance pro naše děti). We are in constant contact with the implementers and mediate their experience to others interested in establishing or reconstructing school facilities.

    2. Formation, education and support for parish development

    Within the Diocese of Brno we support the project "Becoming Creators of Peace" (Stávat se tvůrci Pokoje) and also participate in the preparation of the formation for evangelization in cooperation with the project Seeking God (Hledám Boha).

    3. Real estate as a tool for realizing the mission of the Church

    We see real estate not only as a means of storing or growing financial assets, but more importantly as a place for communities and organizations of all kinds to meet and grow.

    In this context, we are particularly concerned with the further use of the Franciscan monastery in Uherské Hradiště for the development of the surrounding parishes and communities.

    4. Supporting and connecting Christian communities

    For this purpose, we have created the Donace donation platform. We offer individual projects a tool to collect the necessary donations. We also connect individual communities with each other and offer them methodical support for their fundraising campaign.

    5. Improving communication within the church and outward

    Open and clear communication is one of the fundamental pillars for the growth of the church. That's why we support the No Filter podcast (podcast Bez filtru), which brings stories and topics that are current in the church, but at the same time are not talked about at all, or only in a very escalated or insufficient way.

    In Slovakia, we cooperate with the portal nm.sk, especially in the issues of the development of parish economy and the support of communities focused on the evangelization of children and young people.
